El Árbol Genalógico del METAL

Sam Dunn es un antropólogo, director de documentales y gran fan del metal. Él es el autor de la serie EVOLUTION del metal ques estoy posteando estos días, son interesantes piezas para "entender" como surgen las diferentes ramas de tan entramado y complejo bosque musical. La serie se compone de 11 capítulos de los cuales voy a poner 7, quedarán pendientes los que menos me interesan, el Grunge, Pre-Metal, Eearly Metal US y UK (bandas ya conocidas y consagradas) y el Extreme Metal. Quedarán pendientes dos grandes "familias, Power Metal y Thrash Metal.

Este es el "Árbol maestro del metal" según Dunn en su reversión posterior. Sinceramente creo que ya está desfasado, ya han surgido nuevas bandas, tendencias y familias, sobre todo en el norte de Europa con bandas prodigiosas, como Leprous, Circus Maximus, Haken, Skyscraper, Karmakanic, etc etc:

"For Metal Evolution, Sam Dunn presented a new, updated version of his "Heavy Metal Family Tree," a 26-sub genre chart that mapped out metal's various subgenres that have spawned over the course of its 40-year history. This new, more elaborate version included a "Pre-Metal" field that listed non-metal musicians that had an influence on heavy metal. It also listed additional bands as examples of the various styles of metal. Some (but not all) of the sub genres were shown over the course of the series.
